Traineeships in Aged Care, Home Care and Disability
Preparation for Employment
Health Training Australia (HTA) offers the opportunity to complete your Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home and Community Care) while you are employed as a trainee with HTA. For more information on Traineeships, please click here.
To undertake a traineeship, successful applicants must complete the free three day Preparation for Employment course, followed by a 40 hour unpaid industry work placement arranged by HTA (see details below).
The Preparation for Employment course has been designed to introduce participants to the aged care, home care and disability environment and in the different techniques in client care and handling, and is a prerequisite to the traineeship (please note, it is not a stand-alone course).
Applicants must meet HTA eligibility and selection criteria to undertake the Preparation for Employment course. Contact HTA for more information.
The course is available in Perth and Bunbury (as required)
Employment on a traineeship with HTA depends on available positions and feedback from the 40 hour unpaid industry placement. HTA eligibility and selection criteria apply.
