Certificate III in Home and Community Care (CH30308)
Overview
You can complete a Certificate III in Home and Community Care with Health Training Australia, by a Skills Recognition process. Skills Recognition or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process of accessing a person's skills and knowledge against national standards.
Skills recognition is available to existing workers that have been a carer for 6 months or more, and have no formal qualifications.
Employers and staff will benefit from:
- Training and assessments delivered on-the-job
- Recognition for your existing skills and knowledge
- Up-skill existing staff to a national standard
- Off-the-job training is available to applicants that require additional training
What Does it Involve?
Applicants must fill in an application form, which should be sent to Health Training Australia with full payment. A Skill Recognition application package will then be issued to eligible applicants. Complete as much as possible of the package and send it back to Health Training Australia. A Workplace Assessor will then be in contact to discuss the assessment process.
Applicants who demonstrate the required skills and knowledge will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Home and Community Care.
Additional training or attendance in class may be required for some units. Training is available at Health Training Australia for each of the 15 units for Certificate III in Home and Community Care.
Application Process
The cost of the Skills Recognition process is $495.00 (GST free). Applicants are also required to provide:
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate
- A current manual handling update within the past 12 months
