Certificate IV in Disability (CHC40308)
Overview
This course has been designed to give participants the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to support people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence and self reliance in a nursing home, hostel or home care environment.
On successful completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Certificate IV in Disability.
Course Content
Includes 14 units of competency covering:
- Maintain an environment to empower people with a disability
- Work effectively with people with a disability
- Advocate for clients
- Recognise and respond to suspected abuse of vulnerable people
- Work effectively in the community sector
- Facilitate skills development and maintenance
- Facilitate individualised plans
