HTA finalist in Group Training Awards

Congratulations to Mikaela Hatton on becoming a finalist in Group Training Australia (WA) Trainee of the Year Award.

Mikaela completed her Traineeship in Aged Care in February 2014 and continued with her host, Rockingham Nursing Home after completing her employment with HTA. Since completing her Traineeship, Mikaela has been accepted into University to study nursing.

Mikaela was an excellent trainee and has been a great ambassador for HTA , her host employer and Traineeships in general. Prior to entering aged care she worked in retail and felt she wanted a career change but did not know in which direction to go. She saw the advert in the community news for a Traineeship with HTA attended an interview and was accepted on to the Preparation for Employment course. After completing her 40 hours of work experience with Rockingham Nursing Home, she knew she wanted to learn everything she could about aged care and then go into nursing. We are sure she will continue to succeed.

Management and staff from HTA  and Hall and Prior attended the awards at Burswood on Swan on 15 August 2014 to support Mikaela and wish her all the best. She just missed out against a tough field but she should take a lot of pride in knowing that she was among the best of the best.
