Privacy is a very serious matter, and Health Training Australia
believes it should be safeguarded online just as in the real world.
However, total privacy is only possible in total isolation, and
we believe a balance needs to be struck between privacy and the
ability to collaborate effectively. The following sections describe
what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we will
and won't do with it.
Do you ask for personal information?
In order to subscribe to HTA's news letter or enrol in a HTA course,
we require certain personal information. These are the only occasions
we will request personal information.
How will you use my personal information?
The information you supply may be used by us as a way of contacting
you, or as part of a generalised profile of visitors. Note that
your personal information is never sold to third parties, nor is
it used for target advertising.
Will you disclose my personal information?
No. We will never disclose any individual's details to any third
party, unless required to by law.
Do you use 'cookies'?
Yes, we use cookies as a way of carrying authentication and transaction-state
information between web pages. However, we do not use cookies to
monitor usage or track users across other websites.
Do you store IP addresses?
IP addresses are stored for system administration and security
purposes, and may additionally be used for profiling purposes.
What else should I know about my privacy?
Privacy is everyone's concern. Every time you send an email message
or post to a web-based discussion, you are passing on some personal
details, details that can be collected and used by others. These
details may be used to send unsolicited commercial email (or 'spam')
to your mailbox.
Also, while HTA will never pass on your details outside of the
mechanisms described above, we cannot ensure the security of any
information sent to us, and you do so at your own risk. Remember:
you, and you alone, are responsible for the secrecy and security
of your personal information. Please be careful and responsible
in divulging your personal details.
